Gary Neville Thinks Jose Mourinho Might Know Manchester United's Problem Players

Gary Neville expects Manchester United to make at least three signings in the summer transfer window.

United conceded the Premier League title to Manchester City on Sunday with a limp 1-0 defeat to West Brom which so enraged manager Jose Mourinho he has decided to drop some players from Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham following their weekend displays.

Mourinho omitted Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Marouane Fellaini from the matchday squad again against West Brom and the likelihood is the quartet will leave the club in the summer.

United have shown interest in Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, Tottenham central defender Toby Alderweireld, Napoli midfielder Jorginho and Shakhtar Donetsk enforcer Fred as they prepare to reinforce the squad ahead of next season. Neville insists the defence needs 'reshaping' but also feels Mourinho may have identified the problematic players.

"It was a dismal, weak day for Manchester United," Neville said on Monday Night Football. "They started the season trying to rid themselves of last year's problems against the lower teams and these types of performances, but Jose Mourinho at the end of the game referred to attitude and lack of consistency, he's got to rid his team of that.
