LATEST:Barcelona join Man United & Tottenham In Race for Championship Star

TEENAGE TALENT
Despite having only turned 17 last May, Sessegnon, an English U19 international, has already established himself as a mainstay in Slaviša Jokanović’s Fulham side.

Sessegnon has long been praised for his abilities both going forward and defensively, and has seen his already impressive production reach new heights this season, after being pushed into a left-sided midfield role from his previous full-back berth.

In fact, so prolific was the teen over the early weeks of 2018, that only Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero had found the net on more occasions (9) than Sessegnon (8) in England’s top 4 divisions by the end of February.

The teen was recently recognised for his sensational exploits at the EFL awards, where, despite his tender years, he was incredibly named as the Championship Player of the Year:

PL bound?
Unsurprisingly, the stellar performances of the Cottagers’ star have not gone unnoticed amongst the giants of the Premier League, with Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool all named as long-term admirers of the talents of Sessegnon.
A report from the Telegraph last month even went as far as to claim that Tottenham had set aside £35 million for a summer move for the teenage prodigy.

Shock Spanish switch?

However, a number of updates over the last couple of weeks have revealed that interest in Sessegnon is not confined to England, with Ligue 1 giants PSG rumoured to have held ‘numerous meetings’ with the representatives of the Fulham standout.
And, as per the aforementioned report from the Daily Mail, yet another of European football’s biggest clubs, in the form of Barcelona, have joined the hunt for Sessegnon, with the Blaugrana said to be considering a big-money summer offer.
Barca are rumoured to be ready to part with current second-choice left-back Lucas Digne at the end of the season, and view Sessegnon, with all of his attacking qualities, as a possible long-term successor to Jordi Alba at the Camp Nou.
